Lundy Island
Lundy Island is one of my favourite places that I visit a few times each year for birdwatching and sketching day-trips. Every time I go there I tell myself to plan a proper stay. It is a place that many walkers, climbers, birdwatchers and regular visitors I have spoken to become very attached to.
Islands like Lundy offer great peace and unique atmospheres. The light is special both from the height of the island above the sea and the reflections of clouds that can be seen in the sea surface. Particularly at the North end of the island, the geological tors are incredible with highly reflective white rocks covered with vibrant yellow and blue-green lichens.
