T.N.Williams is a watercolour and oil painter. Tim has been selling paintings for over 20 years from galleries in Devon.

I’m an artist inspired by the coast, rivers, woodland and open landscapes of North Devon and Exmoor. I’m a romantic in temperament and art and I enjoy the landscape as the sublime.

One of my earliest memories is on holiday in 1976 seeing buzzards soaring over Heddons Mouth. Back then there were no buzzards in Suffolk where I lived and the unscalable shale of the valley provided an awesome contrast to the flat land of the Orwell and Stour Valleys. I still remember the shock of seeing the steepness of the cliffs of the Exmoor Coast.

My paintings explore the changing light, colour and atmosphere of this remarkable area, from quiet wooded streams to dramatic coastal paths and windswept moorland. I’m interested in capturing not just the appearance of a place, but the feeling of being there.

Each work is a personal response to the landscape, shaped by movement, weather, memory and mood. Through colour, texture and light, I aim to reflect the quiet beauty and wild character of Exmoor and the North Devon coast.
